Product detailed description

Organic maté of premium quality and unique taste is produced by small farmers under the Rio Parana cooperative, using traditional drying methods and two-year aging. Upon opening, you're greeted with a strong, sweet aroma with smoky notes and a hint of plum, typical of maté dried using the Barbacuá method. The taste is unique, creamy, with hints of fresh fruit and leafy tones. Unusually for Barbacuá maté, it excels even when prepared cold as tereré. Through its Titrayju brand, the Rio Parana cooperative promotes fair trade principles - purchasing yerba maté from settlers, integrating them, and paying them a fair price to help families thrive without leaving their farms, thus preventing emigration and strengthening their social environment. The Río Paraná Agricultural Cooperative, through its brand Titrayju, promotes the principles of fair trade.

For several years now, it has been working together with its members in the province of Misiones, focusing on environmental care and always seeking the well-being of the participating members.

The cooperative buys yerba mate leaves (in their green, unprocessed form) from the farmers who are part of it and pays them a fair price, so that families can develop as dignified a livelihood as possible and do not abandon their farms. In this way, it helps slow migration and strengthens families within their social communities.

The social work carried out by the Río Paraná Cooperative as an institution is very important. It defends the rights of small farmers in Misiones and supports their development. For these and other reasons, its track record is considered an example of responsible social equity.
