Rosamonte is a variety of Yerba Mate grown on plantations in Apostoles in the Argentine province of Misiones. Rosamonte also has nearly 80 years of tradition. Despalada is a traditional Argentine maté with larger leaves, without stems. The flavor is pronounced, the aroma is very deep and intense, with a subtle rose scent (the maté ages for one year in rosewood storage, which gives it a rose-like fragrance). During its early years, the company was dedicated to the planting, harvesting, and drying of yerba mate. In 1966, it acquired its first mill and began marketing processed yerba mate. Thus, Rosamonte Yerba Mate was born.
