The intense yet natural aroma and flavor of pineapple and mint give the maté an extra touch of freshness. Unlike maté prepared with hot water, tereré is consumed with cold water, resulting in a pleasant and refreshing drink. Because the leaves are coarsely cut, unlike traditional maté, tereré doesn't have as many issues with clogging. Tereré yerba maté consists of 50% leaves and 50% stems, while traditional maté consists of 70% leaves and 30% stems. If you choose traditional preparation, we recommend using water at a lower temperature, about 65-75°C. The taste of the infusion is then more intense than with tereré. Produced by Terra Mate from Brazil with excellent quality standards. A good way to enjoy tereré is to prepare a strong infusion from 200g of maté in 0.5l of water, strain it through a sieve, and use the strong homemade extract with mineral water, ice, and juice.
