Product detailed description

Tieguanyin Oolong Tea is a traditionally styled oolong tea from Anxi in Fujian province, the homeland of Tie Guan Yin teas. Rather than the modern intensely green and floral style, this tea follows an older processing approach with medium oxidation and light roasting, giving the infusion greater depth, calmness, and roundness. The taste reveals gentle honey-like notes, sweetness reminiscent of dried fruit, a subtle roasted character, and a smooth lingering finish without pronounced astringency. The tea feels honest, full-bodied, and highly approachable. This is not a Tie Guan Yin meant only for special ceremonial sessions, but a tea for everyday drinking – perfectly reflecting the Chinese term, meaning “daily ration tea” or “everyday tea.” It works beautifully both in traditional gong fu cha preparation, where it gradually unfolds its sweetness and mineral depth, and in simple brewing methods such as steeping directly in a glass bottle, thermos, or mug during work or travel. That is precisely where its charm lies – it is refined enough to satisfy experienced oolong drinkers, yet natural and affordable enough to become a tea you can comfortably enjoy every day. Working Man's Tie Guan Yin is an honest traditional oolong without unnecessary pretension – a tea for work, train journeys, quiet thinking, and ordinary days. Preparation – Western style: We recommend using approximately 5 g of tea for 500 ml of water at 90–95 °C. Steep for 2–4 minutes depending on the desired strength. The tea is also well suited for simple everyday brewing directly in a glass bottle, thermos, or mug. Preparation – Gong Fu Cha: Use approximately 5–7 g of tea for 100 ml of water at 90–95 °C. Steep the first infusion for about 15–20 seconds and gradually extend the following infusions. The tea offers many balanced infusions with honey-like sweetness, gentle roasting notes, and an evolving mineral depth. Our tea is laboratory-tested and comply with EU quality and safety standards.
