Oromate comes from a relatively small plantation, El Agricultor, in the Guairá region, located in the heart of eastern Paraguay. It is one of the richest and most fertile areas of Paraguay. The plantation was founded by Pablo and Jorge Escher. Initially, the brand Yerba Mate Reina was produced on the plantation, which later transformed into Oromate. Oromate is a Paraguayan classic with a traditional character. The cut, smokiness, high powder content, finely ground leaves, and resulting taste – all attributes match what you would imagine in a traditional Paraguayan maté. Oromate Menta, Lemon, Boldo is a herbal and refreshing yerba maté with a strong aroma of mint and lemon. The flavor is rich and intense with noticeable bitterness. The bitterness of the yerba is pleasantly offset by the presence of the added ingredients. It is very good in warm form, but even better as cold tereré.
