Il maté biologico di qualita premium e dal sapore unico e prodotto da piccoli agricoltori sotto la cooperativa Rio Parana, utilizzando metodi di essiccazione tradizionali e un invecchiamento di due anni. All'apertura, vieni accolto da un forte aroma dolce con note affumicate e un accenno di prugna, tipico del maté essiccato con il metodo Barbacuá. Il sapore e unico, cremoso, con sentori di frutta fresca e toni fogliosi. Inusuale per il maté Barbacuá, eccelle anche quando preparato freddo come tereré. Attraverso il suo marchio Titrayju, la cooperativa Rio Parana promuove i principi del commercio equo - acquistando yerba maté dai coloni, integrandoli e pagando loro un prezzo equo per aiutare le famiglie a prosperare senza lasciare le loro fattorie, prevenendo cosi l'emigrazione e rafforzando il loro ambiente sociale. The Río Paraná Agricultural Cooperative, through its brand Titrayju, promotes the principles of fair trade.
For several years now, it has been working together with its members in the province of Misiones, focusing on environmental care and always seeking the well-being of the participating members.
The cooperative buys yerba mate leaves (in their green, unprocessed form) from the farmers who are part of it and pays them a fair price, so that families can develop as dignified a livelihood as possible and do not abandon their farms. In this way, it helps slow migration and strengthens families within their social communities.
The social work carried out by the Río Paraná Cooperative as an institution is very important. It defends the rights of small farmers in Misiones and supports their development. For these and other reasons, its track record is considered an example of responsible social equity.
