Product detailed description
Bi Luo Chun is recognized as one of China’s Top Ten Famous Teas. It originates from Dongting Island in Taihu Lake, near Suzhou — a region with a tea cultivation history spanning thousands of years. This green tea is grown on the island’s East Mountain (Xishan) and West Mountain (Dongshan), where the sandy yellow soil and rocky terrain provide rich organic nutrients and minerals ideal for tea growth. Local farmers traditionally intercrop tea plants with fruit trees such as loquat, Chinese bayberry (Myrica rubra), orange, peach, and chestnut. This intercropping fosters a diverse and balanced ecosystem, supporting healthy growth and natural pest control. It is also widely believed that the surrounding fruit trees impart a subtle fruity fragrance to Bi Luo Chun, enhancing its unique aroma and flavor.
