Barao Cambona 4 is a yerba mate with a typical flavor. The product is made only from high-quality plants harvested on selected plantations. "Cambona" is a Brazilian term for a rustic kettle used for cooking or heating water. This yerba is very fine and suitable for traditional preparation, known as chimarrao.
Chimarrao is a symbolic drink of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, but it is also consumed in Paraná, Santa Catarina, and in cities where gaucho migration occurred, such as Sinop in Mato Grosso. South American countries like Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay also drink chimarrao.
Chimarrao differs significantly in color, texture, and taste from Argentine, Paraguayan, or Uruguayan yerba and looks more like green tea Matcha – a powder of finely chopped leaves with a small amount of stems. It is usually vacuum-packed within the first week after harvest, maintaining a higher level of chlorophyll, which gives it a bright neon green color.
