Xiao Chi Gan – Red and Sweet Black Tea from Tong Mu Guan Xiao Chi Gan is a black (or "red") tea from the same prestigious region as the renowned smoked Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong. It comes from Tong Mu Guan—one of the coldest tea-growing environments in the world. The name itself describes its character: “Xiao Chi Gan” translates as “small, red, and sweet.”
Harvested in the traditional style of one tender bud and two leaves, this tea combines several cultivars according to a classic recipe. The bushes grow among stones and rocky terrain, contributing to their distinctive traits. The infusion has a bright red color—an indicator of excellent craftsmanship.
Its flavor is complex, with layered notes of red figs, plums, and other baked fruits. Slightly mineral, smooth in texture, and striking in presence, it offers a refined sensory experience.
