Product detailed description

Yi Hong Gong Fu Tea is a variety of Chinese black (or "red") tea crafted in the Yichang area of Hubei Province. The name combines “Yi” for Yichang, its place of origin, and “Hong,” referring to its tea type—red tea. Yichang lies in the Wuling Mountains, a region said to be divinely chosen for cultivating high-quality tea due to its favorable climate, soil, and natural environment. The area is home to a wide array of tea cultivars, including Yichang Dayezhong, Yihongzao, Enshi Dayezhong, Hefeng Taizicha, Enshi Taizizao, Badong Taizicha, Wufeng Dayezhong, Wufeng Liuyezhong, and more. One of Yi Hong’s signature traits is its pronounced floral aroma, particularly in teas from Dengcun County. In the 1960s, a study found that the tea naturally absorbs floral fragrances from its surroundings—especially in spring, when flowers such as Rosa laevigata bloom abundantly across the region. This phenomenon gives Yi Hong tea its distinctive natural floral taste.
