This rare Pu Er is crafted from tea trees over 350 years old, with a significant portion of leaves coming from trees older than 400 years. The leaves were harvested in spring 2022 from high-mountain tea gardens in Ming Feng Shan, located in the Lincang region of southwestern Yunnan. Though less known than other tea-producing areas, Ming Feng Shan stands out for its altitude—2,100 meters above sea level—which is exceptionally high even for the Yunnan Highlands.
Dark Pu Er made from true ancient tree material is extremely rare. Using such valuable leaves in the unpredictable fermentation process requires courage and deep expertise. Skilled tea masters have transformed this tea into both a remedy and a delicacy.
The result is a delicate, layered, and multidimensional experience. Expect sweet notes of chocolate and molasses, with a touch of nutmeg. Its bold aroma and full mouthfeel are unmistakable—a true feast for the senses.
