Forte yerba paraguayana ricavata da steli e foglie di maté selezionati e aromatici. Molto energizzante e stimolante. Il Boldo (Peumus boldus) e tradizionalmente utilizzato per problemi di escrezione della bile nel duodeno e come agente calmante, diuretico e antibatterico che agisce sulle vie biliari e urinarie. E indicato come rimedio per i calcoli biliari, per cistifellee o fegati dolorosi, infiammazioni della vescica, reumatismi e soprattutto per i calcoli biliari infiammatori dolorosi. Il componente dell'olio essenziale include l'ascaridolo, che agisce contro i parassiti. La foglia e stata tradizionalmente utilizzata anche per la gonorrea e le malattie epatiche. Dosi elevate possono causare irritazione e danni renali, specialmente nei casi in cui il tessuto renale e gia compromesso da altre malattie.
