This black Indian tea is harvested in late May to early June at the Sourenee estate, located at altitudes between 800 and 1,300 meters in the Mirik Valley near the Nepalese border. It is a second-flush Darjeeling with a bold personality, where toasted cereal and salted popcorn notes highlight its soft, rounded, and fruity base. The sweet, lingering finish and gentle, controlled astringency make this a refined indulgence for lovers of summer Darjeeling teas.
The name Sourenee is a blend of the words “Saur,” a local term for tea plant, and “Rani,” meaning “Queen of the Valley.” The estate is dedicated exclusively to organic tea cultivation.
