Selecta pochází z Bella Vista v provincii Itapúa a je považována za jednu z nejlepších paraguayských značek. Yerba je sušena tradiční metodou barbacuá, která dodává maté příjemnou kouřovost. Řez je hrubší s vyšším obsahem stonků. Maté má velmi intenzivní chuť a je doplněno katuavou a burritem. V kombinaci s burritem také pomáhá při duševním stresu. Katuaba je mírný afrodiziak. Burrito (Wendita calysinum) má vynikající účinek na trávicí systém a celkový metabolismus. Podporuje funkci jater a žlučníku, sleziny, močového měchýře a zlepšuje trávení a fungování žaludku a střev. Je zvláště vhodné po přejídání, intoxikaci alkoholem a jinými látkami. Snižuje kyselost, nadýmání, žaludeční a střevní potíže. Má harmonizující účinek na hormonální systém, ženské a mužské pohlavní orgány. Obsahované flavonoidy mají silné ochranné a antioxidační účinky na degeneraci buněk a kloubů. The history of Selecta began around the year 1942, when Mr. Reinaldo Brönstrup and his wife Mrs. Malvina Bohn, both immigrants, dedicated themselves to the first yerba mate plantations in the area; they decided to start the production of Yerba Mate, a few years later a mill was built and from the year 1950 they dedicated themselves to the integral production of Yerba Mate from the nurseries, cultivation, harvesting, processing and packaging of the final product, which went on the market with the name of Yerba Mate Selecta. More than 70 years have passed since the "Selecta" brand came onto the market, the greatest legacy left by the past generation is the culture of work, faith in God and love for the family as well as the values of excellence, teamwork, honesty and respect that drive to continue with the objective of "Producing Quality".
