Zapeca Yerba Mate is a premium yerba mate brand produced by Somos Red Misiones, a cooperative of small-scale farmers based in Misiones, Argentina. This region is renowned for its ideal climate and soil conditions for cultivating yerba mate, making Argentina one of the world's leading producers of this energizing beverage.
Somos Red is an agroecological consortium that brings together associations and cooperatives undergoing a just transition toward environmental sustainability. It is based on social dialogue, productive innovation, and community organization to promote rootedness, green jobs, and the circular economy.
What makes Zapeca special?
- Small Batch. Crafted in limited quantities to ensure quality, freshness, and care in every bag.
- Fair Trade. We buy directly from the farmers who grow it, ensuring they’re paid fairly and you get ethically sourced, high-quality mate.
Loose Leaf. Packed with rich leaf and stem, our mate includes some traditional powder (polvo) for a strong, authentic brew just like it’s enjoyed in Argentina. - Certified organic and grown without synthetic chemicals, this mate is as clean and pure as the land it comes from.
Hand-Picked. Every leaf is harvested by hand to preserve the bold, earthy flavor yerba mate is known for.
