El maté orgánico de calidad premium y sabor único es producido por pequenos agricultores bajo la cooperativa Rio Parana, utilizando métodos de secado tradicionales y un envejecimiento de dos anos. Al abrirlo, te recibe un aroma fuerte y dulce con notas ahumadas y un toque de ciruela, típico del maté secado con el método Barbacuá. El sabor es único, cremoso, con matices de frutas frescas y tonos herbales. Inusualmente para el maté Barbacuá, se destaca incluso cuando se prepara frío como tereré. A través de su marca Titrayju, la cooperativa Rio Parana promueve principios de comercio justo: comprando yerba maté de los colonos, integrándolos y pagándoles un precio justo para ayudar a las familias a prosperar sin abandonar sus fincas, previniendo así la emigración y fortaleciendo su entorno social. The Río Paraná Agricultural Cooperative, through its brand Titrayju, promotes the principles of fair trade.
For several years now, it has been working together with its members in the province of Misiones, focusing on environmental care and always seeking the well-being of the participating members.
The cooperative buys yerba mate leaves (in their green, unprocessed form) from the farmers who are part of it and pays them a fair price, so that families can develop as dignified a livelihood as possible and do not abandon their farms. In this way, it helps slow migration and strengthens families within their social communities.
The social work carried out by the Río Paraná Cooperative as an institution is very important. It defends the rights of small farmers in Misiones and supports their development. For these and other reasons, its track record is considered an example of responsible social equity.
