Este árbol fue venerado por los pueblos indígenas de Paraguay como una hierba que curaba muchas enfermedades y tenía un gran poder. La yerba mate bebida de un recipiente así adquiere un sabor completamente nuevo gracias a la resina aromática. Debido a los cambios en la humedad, pueden aparecer pequenas grietas en la madera, pero gracias a la funda de aluminio, esto no será un problema. Cada pieza es única porque está hecha a mano. The history of Selecta began around the year 1942, when Mr. Reinaldo Brönstrup and his wife Mrs. Malvina Bohn, both immigrants, dedicated themselves to the first yerba mate plantations in the area; they decided to start the production of Yerba Mate, a few years later a mill was built and from the year 1950 they dedicated themselves to the integral production of Yerba Mate from the nurseries, cultivation, harvesting, processing and packaging of the final product, which went on the market with the name of Yerba Mate Selecta. More than 70 years have passed since the "Selecta" brand came onto the market, the greatest legacy left by the past generation is the culture of work, faith in God and love for the family as well as the values of excellence, teamwork, honesty and respect that drive to continue with the objective of "Producing Quality".
