Contenedor de paredes gruesas con una capacidad de aproximadamente 120-160 ml, hecho de fragante madera de Palo Santo (Bulnesia sarmientoi) y cubierto con aluminio. Este árbol fue venerado por los pueblos indígenas de Paraguay como una hierba que curaba muchas enfermedades y tenía un gran poder. El mate bebido de un contenedor así adquiere un sabor completamente nuevo gracias a la resina aromática. En la parte superior del contenedor hay agujeros especiales hacia los cuales debe dirigirse el chorro de agua. Estos canales permiten que el agua fluya por las paredes internas del contenedor y llegue a su fondo. No es necesario hacer un montículo ni colocarlo en el ángulo correcto. Vierte el agua directamente en la ranura especial. El agua pasa a través de los agujeros tallados en la madera, adquiriendo un aroma resinosa en el camino. Debido a los cambios de humedad, pueden aparecer pequenas grietas en la madera, pero gracias a la carcasa metálica, esto no será un problema. Cada pieza es única porque está hecha a mano. Pueden diferir ligeramente entre sí, tener pequenas ranuras, rasgunos o sentirse ligeramente irregulares al tacto. !Ese es el encanto de la artesanía!
